  Manjeet Singh Nagil Won Gold Medal, Anamika Rai & Suyash Parasher Won Bronze Medal for INDIA in WAKO World CUP Diamond Kickboxing from 21st to 25th Sept. 2011 at Anapa City, Russia  
  3 Players 2 Officials from our country has been represented “Indian Kickboxing Team” at WAKO World Cup Diamond Kickboxing-2011 at Anapa City, Russia from 21st to 25th September 2011.  
  The Indian team was as follows:  
  Mr. Montu Das - WB - WAKO Referee (Representative, IAKO India Team)   
  Mr. Santosh Kumar Agrawal - Haryana - WAKO Referee (Team Coach, IAKO India Team)  
  Mr. Manjeet Singh Nagil - Haryana - GOLD Ms. Anamika Rai - WB - BRONZE  
  Mr. Suyash Parasher - Haryana - BRONZE  
  Secretary General of IAKO Mr. Montu Das told that the players were selected on merit & performance basis and also they participated 1st time in the World Cup Kickboxing. Manjeet Singh Nagil, Sr. Men, above 94 Kgs. category in Light Contact won GOLD Medal, Suyash Parasher, Cadet-2, under 57 Kgs. category in Light Contact won BRONZE Medal & Ms. Anamika Rai, Cadet-2, under 54 Kgs. category in Semi Contact won BRONZE medal for INDIA. Manjeet Singh defeated Vetrov Aleksey from Russia in final Round, Anamika Rai Parsher in quarter final and lost the fight from Russia Fighter and Suyash Parasher in quarter final and lost the fight from Iran Fighter.  
  Gen. Secy. of Haryana Kickboxing Association Mr. Santosh K. Agrawal also attended the “International Referee Seminar” and qualified as WAKO International Referee and Mr. Montu Das & Santosh Kumar Agrawal also experienced as Official Referee in this World Cup Kickboxing. IAKO Representative Mr. Montu Das & Team Coach Mr. Agrawal told that we have got great experience in this World Cup.  
  There were about 900 participants (male & female) from 23 Countries has been taken part in this mega International event organized by the ‘Russian Kickboxing Federation, under aegis of ‘World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO, Italy). Team for World Cup has taken part under the patronage of ‘Indian Association of Kickboxing Organizations’.  
  Founder of Kickboxing Game in India Shihan S. S. Harichandan told that the Kickboxing was incorporated into the Asian Martial Arts Games in 2009, Asian Indoor Games 2007 & 2009 and 1st World Combat Games at Beijing in 2010. Further we are concentrating for the year 2013 where there will be 2 most important International event under the aegis of ‘International Olympic Committee (IOC)’ SPORTACCORD will be organized the “2nd WORLD Combat Games” by involving 13 Combat Games such as Karate, Judo, Wushu, Taekwondo, Aikido Wrestling, Boxing etc. at Saint Petersburg and the “4th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games” organized by the ‘Olympic Council of Asia’ at Incheon, Republic of Korea.  
  Kickboxing Sports made its higher image & becoming popular in entire country within the very short span of time. Also became the most popular game among the Martial Artist and youths because of the continuous efforts & able guidance of Sh. S. S. Harichandan, President-IAKO. Kickboxing Game was introduced in INDIA by the Shihan S. S. Harichandan in the year 1993 and formed the National Kickboxing Federation (IAKO) 1994.  
  Director-cum-Special Secretary to Govt. of Haryana in Development, Panchayats & Tourism Dept. & President of Haryana Kickboxing Association Sh. Anand Mohan Sharan, IAS & President of IAKO Mr. S. S. Harichandan congratulated to Indian Kickboxing Team to laurels the Medals for INDIA.
